Scholarship Program

In partnership with the Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce (SACC-USA), Linnaeus University, and the Svenska Institutet, AIFM offers a unique opportunity for talented young American professionals interested in studying in Sweden. The scholarship includes a one-year master program in International Business Strategy at Linnaeus University. In parallel with studies, scholarship recipients will complete an internship with AIFM Group.

The internship involves a comprehensive introduction to fund regulation, administration, and management. The focus will be on learning about the UCITS-, AIF-, and MiFID-directives to see how those shape the organizational structure of the European asset management industry. Our interns play an important role at AIFM, and will learn about Swedish entrepreneurship and business development strategies in the Northern European asset management industry. They are expected to work closely with AIFM management to support the establishment of US-based operations.

This scholarship program has proven to be very successful. AIFM has welcomed trainees from all parts of the US, from various universities and disciplines. Some graduates of our trainee program have gone on to begin professional careers back in the US at major financial firms, while others have elected to stay here in Sweden with AIFM or other organizations.
